As Governor Phil Murphy's final term ends, former Representative (NJ-11) Mikie Sherrill (D) achieved a 14-point margin of victory on Tuesday November 4, 2025 to become NJ's next governor.

Again unsuccessful after multiple runs for public office was gubernatorial candidate Jack Ciattarelli (R). Two debates were broadcast, on WABC-TV Channel 7 and NJPBS Spotlight News and are available to view. In 2024 Rep. Andy Kim (D-3rd) successfully won the seat to replace Robert Menendez and now represents NJ voters as one of NJ's two Senators in the US Senate.
